Forum Theatre: What Do We Do When Rights Are Violated?

  • Västerbottens Museum 3 Helena Elisabeths väg Umeå, Västerbottens län, 903 42 Sweden (map)

How do we react when we witness an injustice?

What do we do when someone is treated unfairly—at work, in school, or in our surroundings? Forum theatre is an engaging and interactive form of theatre where the audience is not just spectators but can step into the story and influence its course.

Skuggteatern guides us through scenes inspired by real-life situations where rights are threatened or violated. When we collectively pause and say “stop,” the audience is given the chance to suggest alternative actions—and try them out on stage. The goal is not to find the perfect answer, but to practice speaking up, showing civil courage, and discovering new ways to act in difficult situations.

This evening is open to anyone curious about exploring rights, responsibility, and the possibility of making a difference in everyday life. No prior knowledge is needed—just an open mind.
